Polylux

Eine moderne Methode des Niedertemperaturdrucks. Der Hauptvorteil von Polylux besteht darin, dass die meisten Farben aus der Pantone-Palette erzielt werden können. Die Farben sind intensiv und gut gesättigt. Die Farbe Magenta, die bei anderen Techniken nicht verfügbar ist, lässt sich problemlos erzeugen. Darüber hinaus erreichen Vollfarbdrucke in Bezug auf die Farbqualität die Qualität von Offsetdrucken. Werke, bei denen Polylux angewendet wird, werden bei einer Temperatur von etwa 185 °C eingebrannt. Sie sind spülmaschinenfest, bieten jedoch nicht die gleiche hohe Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen mechanische Beanspruchung wie Drucke, die mit der Transfer Plus-Methode hergestellt wurden.

Advantages

overprint resistant to washing in a dishwasher up to about 500 cycles at 60oC

Disadvantages

relatively expensive technique
no possibility of combining wallpaper
prints are not fully resistant to mechanical damage
no possibility of decorating on the bottom and inside of the product
decorating by hand, possible minimal deviations in the position of the logo
any object, line or text smaller than 0.2 mm will not be printed
in the negative any object, line or text smaller than 0.4 mm will be filled in
